Lambaria Law is based out of Flint and serves Genesee, Saginaw, Lapeer, Washtenaw, Ingham, Shiawassee, Tuscola, Clinton, Gratiot, Livington, and Oakland Counties. For our specialty area, OWI cases, we will travel throughout the State of Michigan.

We primarily handle criminal law. Lambaria Law is also equipped to handle personal injury, drivers license restoration applications, zoning issues with municipalities, and any appeals to the Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court, and United State Supreme Court. Other issues can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

We are happy to provide an initial consultation and discussion of your case at no charge. Whether we take the case or not, we can research lawyers who have won cases like yours in way that others cannot - by using legal research engines to assess past performance in your case type. Don't hesitate to call and ask.

When you consult with a lawyer, consider:

(1) Can they show you a thorough gameplan for your defense? Do they talk about plea deals only, or do they explain the law and how it affects your possible defenses? Sometimes a plea deal is needed, but Lambaria Law exhaustively considers every possible defense as well.

(2) Is the lawyer able to cite specific sources of law when explaining your legal options, or are they winging it based on their experience?

(3) Does the lawyer understand that they work for you, and that you have the final say in decisions that affect your life and freedom? Do they listen carefully to your goals and concerns? If a lawyer does all the talking, and too little listening, you may be speaking to a conviction facilitator. A lawyer who cares, listens, and fights to meet your goals is the most effective in court.

If you have a warrant, the next step is to appear in court with your attorney for arraignment. You'll almost certainly enter a plea of not guilty, and your lawyer will argue for you to be remain out of jail and on bond. Call 810-375-3357  if you need a dedicated attorney.

The most expensive mistake would be to use no lawyer at all and lose. You can't make house payments and car payments when you're in jail and not working. Our record of keeping clients out of jail is phenomenal, and your likelihood of various outcomes can be discussed during a free 15 minute initial consultation - with no obligations.

In District or Circuit Court cases, we generally charge flat rates for criminal defense services. A base fee covers filing an appearance and pre-trial services. Trials requires intense preparation, and a separate trial fee applies if we schedule your case for trial. Criminal cases with more moving parts, such as appeals, homicides, and a variety of other offenses may or may not call for hourly billing. All of this should, and will, be discussed before signing a retainer agreement.

For personal injury cases, we charge nothing up front, and we only get paid a standard percentage if we win money for the client first. Other areas of civil law, such as divorce, custody, contracts, property law, etc. are billable on an hourly basis.

Only a live discussion and signed retainer agreement can create an attorney-client relationship. You should literally call and have that conversation now. Stop stressing and start dialing. 810-375-3357.
